Taking a cue from the surrounding jagged peaks of the North Cascades, this design adopted a pyramidal styled motif - using large vertically stacked modular windows, glass blocks and other elements - to evoke the rugged natural landscape.
An enormous masonry fireplace was installed as the anchor of the living space separating the Great Room from the more formal living room, providing illumination and warmth to both spaces and echoing the stepped design of the stacked windows.
